Improve productivity and engage all staff by developing robust Leadership processes and ensuring reliable processes through ShopFloor Management® and TPM® Total Productive Maintenance

SIDEL A WORLD LEADER IN FOOD PACKAGING

Sidel is one of the three industrial groups belonging to Tetra Laval. Founded in 1965, it currently ensures the operation of nearly 40000 pieces of equipment located in 190 countries employing a total of more than 5 thousand people and guaranteeing a turnover of 1.4 billion euros in 2021. Sidel has more than 170 years of history in terms of experience and innovation, thanks to the merger in 2005 with the Parma-based company Simonazzi founded in 1850.

Sidel’s industrial system consists of seventeen manufacturing plants located around the world, while the headquarter is based in Parma, Italy.

Sidel provides complete blow molding, filling, labeling, end-of-line solutions and engineering expertise for multiple applications in the Beverage, Food, Home & Personal Care industries.
Although product quality is universally recognized, Sidel, for several years now, has also been pursuing process excellence by successfully applying the TPM Total Productive Maintenance methodology. The path of change was greatly accelerated by the introduction of ShopFloor Management® and TPM pillars initially in the pilot area, in the light parts production department, and then extended to all equipment in the department.

The strong involvement of staff, both in production and in support processes, has enabled the plant to achieve an important set of results on the production equipment efficiency (OEE) front due to the ability to promptly and systematically address all performance deviations.
