Improving competitiveness with plant excellence
WHERE WE STARTED FROM
Sidel, a multinational company of the Tetra Laval Group, provides services and equipment for the packaging of beverages, food, and household and personal care products. The Parma Plant, which employs 900 people, is a center of excellence for filling and end-of-line management technologies for beverages in PET bottles, glass, and cans. It begins a TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) project in 2020 with the support of STAUFEN.ITALIA.
The TPM project in Sidel: objectives and results
Sidel starts in 2020 a TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) project with the support of STAUFEN.ITALIA to increase competitiveness by aiming for excellence in industrial process performance and to make the improvement path a real process, effective, sustainable, replicable and spread throughout the organization.
Sidel‘s path has led to important benefits in terms of safety, rework, service levels, OEE, MTBF, and not least the winning of the prestigious TPM Excellence Award 2023 from the JIPM.
