TPM (TOTAL PRODUCTIVE MAINTENANCE)
FREE LIVE STREAMING | 20/02/2025 – 01:00-02:00 pm | with SIDEL
On average, equipment efficiency in the company amounts to 40%, which is equivalent to a waste rate of 60%. Today, under very challenging exogenous and endogenous conditions, a company cannot afford economic, time, energy, and performance waste due to equipment malfunction.
WHY TPM (TOTAL PRODUCTIVE MAINTENANCE)
In a market where it is critical to produce more with fewer resources, the optimization of machines and production processes provided by TPM becomes a competitive advantage.
Implementing TPM means:
TPM reduces unplanned downtime and increases equipment availability, improving the overall efficiency of manufacturing operations
TPM reduces maintenance costs caused by defects and associated “rapid intervention” measures through regular and standardized maintenance and inspection
With equipment better maintained and operating at full capacity, product quality tends to improve. Reduced breakdowns and defects contribute to more uniform, high-quality production
TPM ensures an increase in equipment productivity and service life
TPM ensures that workers’ sense of ownership of their work environment (equipment and tools) is promoted and integrated into maintenance and repair activities. TPM encourages a culture of continuous improvement, where every employee is involved in improving business processes and practices
Well-maintained equipment reduces the risk of accidents and sudden breakdowns that can endanger worker safety. TPM also promotes safe and conscious work practices
