As in previous years, Staufen AG has been awarded the title of Best Lean Management Consultancy in the eighth installment of the prestigious “Hidden Champions” industry study. It also ranks among the top-ranking leaders in the areas of production, R&D, technology management, operational efficiency, shop floor management, global footprint, and Industry 4.0. For the study, the Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Management und Beratung (Scientific Society for Management and Consulting), headed by Prof. Dietmar Fink, surveyed more than 1,000 executives from major German companies.

Companies fail to strategically address change / Corona masks unfinished business – Study
Despite turbulent times and pressing issues such as digitalization and sustainability, German companies have only slightly increased their overall ability to adapt and change in recent years. This is the result of the “Change Readiness Index 2022” from business consultancy Staufen. Compared to the pre-Corona year 2019, the index, which was surveyed for the third time, increased by only one point to now 56. For the survey with a maximum scale of 100 points, more than 350 top executives of German companies were interviewed as part of the “Companies in Transition” study.

Doch noch mangelt es an der entsprechenden Zusammenarbeit mit vielen Lieferanten, wie die aktuelle Studie “Green Transformation in der Automobilindustrie” zeigt. Weniger als die Hälfte der Unternehmen sagt, dass die Zulieferer sie aktiv beim grünen Wandel unterstützen. 61% of German automotive companies link their future viability directly to the green transformation / but not even half of the industry has a functional strategy thus far – Study
For six in ten German automotive companies, it’s clear: Without quick conversion to CO2-neutral production, they will not be able to assert themselves on the market in the future. As the current study “Green Transformation in the Automobile Industry” shows, 87% of the companies have not yet exploited even their rudimentary ecological potential. Thus far, they are lacking an appropriate strategy, and the decisions made have not been implemented consistently.
